Australian History

This term the students in the grade 5/6 classes are creating our own Australian history museum! We are so excited to be able to make our own exhibits to show our understanding.

This week Mrs. Elliott, Mr. Black, Mrs. Hannig and Miss Watts have given us lots of information about important events in Australian history and we’ve been writing down our discoveries as well as any questions we may have. We are using this information to make our very own timelines and then research a topic of our choice even further. How exciting!

What is an important event in Australian history that you have discovered?

What questions about Australia would you like answered?

Mrs. Elliott and her husband, Matthew, spent Christmas in Swan Hill with Mrs. Elliott’s family. They also spent some time in Camperdown and went camping with friends. Mrs. Elliott and Matthew spent a week in Adelaide and saw a soccer match, went swimming at the beach and visited the Adelaide museum.

Mrs. Elliott read lots of books in the holidays and enjoyed learning to play many new songs on the piano.
